Desktop Publishing Final Exam

Create a CD Jewel Case and CD for your favorite band.

Dimensions:
-You will be using two separate documents at 10.75 total width and a height of 5 inches (6pts)
-Each panel is 5.25 inches and the spine is ¼” (4 pts)


What should it include:

Front of Case: Band Name, Photograph, Title of CD (6 pts)
- Use at least one drop shadow (2 pts)


Back of Case: Songs, UPC (Barcode), Picture, Record Company, Copyright (10 pts)
- Use a stroke outline on one of the text items (2 pts)


Outside Edge of the CD (The middle of your template): Band Name, CD Title, Color (6 pts)
- Use Small Caps for all font (2 pts)
- Text must be rotated so that if the CD were held flat, you could read it. (4 pts)



The remaining steps will now be performed on the second document with the same dimensions

Inside Cover (Left Side): Special Thanks and Band Photos (4 pts)
- Place band photos on a square using one of the following style examples: (4 pts)


CD area (Right side): Use the Circle tool to create the shape of the CD and the center of the CD (4 pts)
-Use a graphic or create a design for the square area behind the CD. (4 pts)
- Design the actual CD with a graphic or design on it. It should not bleed into the rest of the case (4 pts)
- Make sure the band name and CD title are on the CD (2 pts)

Total Points = 64
